Terms of use
Short, because there is not much to agree about: a page that keeps nothing cannot promise much and cannot demand much either.
Using it
Use this page for whatever you like, including work you are paid for, without asking and without paying. There is no licence to accept and no limit on how many pictures you put through it. Running an automated process against it is the one thing to leave alone — not because it would cost us anything, but because the tool only works in a real browser and a script pointed at it will get nothing useful anyway.
Your pictures and the things you place on them
Every right in your photograph stays yours. Nothing here takes a licence to anything, which would be difficult in any case, since your files are never in our possession.
The responsibility that does sit with you is the right to use what you place. A logo, a font rendered into a graphic, a photograph of somebody else, a cut-out of a character — all of those belong to someone, and this page has no way of knowing whether that someone is you. Placing a thing on a photograph does not change who owns the thing.
What is promised, and what is not
The tool is offered as it is. It is tested on the browsers most people use and it will still, on some file from some camera, do something unexpected — that is the nature of reading other people's image formats. Keep your originals. Nothing here modifies the file you opened; every result is a new download, so an original is only ever lost if you overwrite it yourself.
We are not liable for what happens downstream of a picture you made here. If the mark was in the wrong place, if the colour moved, if an animated file came out as a single frame — the page tries hard to tell you those things while you are still looking at them, and checking the result before you use it remains sensible.
Changes
These terms can change; the version on this page is the one that applies. The site can also stop existing, which is the honest state of any free utility, so do not build anything that depends on it still being here next year.
